E347-15 Stainless Steel Electrode

Basic type stainless steel electrode for welding stabilized austenitic stainless Cr-Ni steels, and cast steels, as well as stainless or heat resisting chromium steels to cast steels. Stabilized with Nb (Niobium) and resistant to intergranular corrosion.

Weld metal is suitable for operating temperatures up to 400°C, non-scaling up to 800°C. Especially suitable for welding of stainless-steel tanks, valves and pipes in milk, beverage, food, chemical and petrochemical industries. Fine metal droplet transfer, good fusion of joint faces, finely rippled bead surface, easily removable slag.

EDEN E347-15 is a low hydrogen type stainless steel welding electrode containing stable chemical element niobium. Due to it contains niobium element, the weld seam metal has excellent mechanical properties and shows good resistibility to intergranular corrosion.

It can be used for all position welding and it shows a very good welding performance with a fine appearance of weld.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Basic coated all position stainless steel electrode
  • For Ti or Nb stabilized 304 or equivalent steels (AlSi 321 and 347)
  • High resistance to intergranular corrosion
  • Easy slag release and smooth bead appearance
  • Strong electrode coating

PRECAUTION

  1. Re-dry the electrodes at 250-300°C for one hour.
  2. Use short arc, low current and stringer beads.

E347-16 Stainless Steel Electrode

Rutile type stainless steel electrode for welding stabilized austenitic stainless Cr-Ni steels, and cast steels, as well as stainless or heat resisting chromium steels to cast steels.

Possible to use equally well both with AC and DC. Easy arc striking and re-striking. Fine metal droplet transfer, good fusion of joint faces, finely rippled bead surface, easily removable slag.

APPLICATIONS:

It is used for welding of 18%Cr-8%Ni-Ti (AISI 321) and 18%Cr-8%Ni-Cb (AISI 347) because of its excellent creep-rupture property at high temperature.

DESCRIPTION:

EDEN 347 is composed with 19%C4-9%Ni-Cb and is more stable resistance to intergranular corrosion than NSS-308L with the addition of columbium as carbon stabilizer.

NOTES ON USAGE:

  • Remove dirts such as oil and dust from the groove.
  • Normally, preheat is not necessary.
  • Keep the arc length as short as possible.
  • Rebake the electrode at 200-250ºC for about one hour before use.
