SUPERMIG 430 is a ER430/G17 type solid MAG welding wire supplied precision layer wound. Suitable for use with Ar-CO2 mix shielding gases. It is used for many surfacing applications. Welding with SUPERMIG 430 usually required pre heating and post weld heat treatment.
SUPERTIG 430 is a 16 Cr (wt.%) alloy & the composition is balanced by providing sufficient chromium to give adequate corrosion resistance for the usual applications, and yet retain sufficient ductility in the heat-treated condition. Welding with ER430 usually requires preheating and post weld heat treatment.
Features
ER‐430 is a ferritic stainless-steel filler metal offering good ductility in heat‐treated condition. It is generally used to weld similar alloys but can also be used for overlays and thermal spraying. Pre‐heating and post weld heat treatment is required to obtain optimum mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
Applications
ER430 is a ferritic stainless steel which offers good ductility in heat treated condition. In addition to the applications of welding similar alloys, it is also used for overlays and thermal spraying.

430LNb STAINLESS STEEL FILLER WIRE
SUPERMIG 430LNb is a G18LNb type solid MAG welding wire supplied precision layer wound. Suitable for use with Ar-CO2 mix shielding gases. SUPERMIG 430LNb is developed mainly for welding catalytic exhaust systems where both fatique behaviour and corrosion resistance is important. The feature of SUPERMIG 430LNb is ensured with the low Content and Nb-stabilisation.
FEATURES
A continuous ferritic stainless solid wire with low carbon content, 18 % Cr and stabilized with Nb, for welding similar and matching steels. OK Autrod 430LNb (W) is developed and designed for the automotive industry and used for production of exhaust systems. The wire should be used when there is a need for good resistance to corrosion and thermal fatigue. The OK Autrod 430LNb (W) is a new version of OK Autrod 430LNb, with restricted Nb limits.
APPLICATIONS
430LNb/Ti is developed and designed for the Automotive industry and used for production of exhaust systems and catalytic converters.. The wire should be used when there is a need for good resistance to corrosion and thermal fatigue. Stabilised ferritic stainless steels, Austenitic stainless steels and in both homogeneous and heterogeneous sheet metal configurations (sheets of different grades welded together)
PROPERTIES
Stabilization with niobium and titanium gives it the advantages of both these ferritic structure stabilizers:Titanium minimizes grain growth in Weld Metal zones (WM) due to titanium nitride (TiN) precipitation in the still liquid metal in these zones, thus avoiding the risk of brittleness, which may sometimes occur when very thick welds are made (> 3 mm of sheet metal to be welded). Niobium traps the residual C and N through its transfer of between 85 and 95% in the welding arc under all standard welding conditions, thus avoiding any risk of inter granular corrosion in the WM.
