E309L-15 Stainless Steel Electrodes
EDEN 309L-15 is used for welding carbon and low alloy steels to stainless steels. This can be done provided the service temperature does not exceed about 700°F (370°). Post weld heat treatment should only be taken with great care. EDEN 309L-15 can be used as the first layer of stainless steel on carbon or low alloy steel.

E309L-16 Stainless Steel Electrodes
E309L electrodes are used for welding 22% Cr-12% Ni stainless steel, mild or carbon steel to stainless steel and stainless clad steel. This electrode will produce an austenitic-ferritic, ductile weld deposit that contains a maximum of 0.04% carbon, there-by providing good crack resistance and inter-granular corrosion resistance superior to that of USA 309 electrodes. Typical applications are similar to those of E309, but where stronger corrosion resistance is required.

E309LMo-16 Stainless Steel Electrodes
This electrode is designed for applications requiring molybdenum with a standard 309L analysis. Primarily for welding type 316L and 316 clad steels, or welding molybdenum containing austenitic stainless steel to carbon steel.

Typical Applications
- Welding of AISI 316, 316L type steels
- Buffer layer on low alloy and carbon steels to improve corrosion and wear resistance
- Joining difficult to weld steels
- Dissimilar joints between austenitic stainless steels containing Mo and low alloy or carbon steels
E309Cb-16 Stainless Steel Electrodes
An extruded, rutile based heavy coated electrode giving 25 Cr / 12 Ni / 1 Cb type Stabilized stainless steel deposit.
Arc is soft & stable with easy strike and restrike. Low spatter and easily detachable slag. Weld bead is finely-rippled. The deposit is Cb-Stabilized and resistant to intergranular corrosion. It can withstand up to 1100°C. Joining stainless steel to low alloy or carbon steel.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
• Mainly used for welding 309 and 309 Cb plates service in the flange up to 850°C requiring resistance to
sensitization and consequent intergranular corrosion failure in chemical plants, furnaces.
• Also used for improving wear resistance by surfacing / building up of wear surfaces of wear resistant steels subject to high temperatures up to 1100°C.
• Joining stainless steel to low alloy or carbon steel. Applicable for AISI 309 Cb type stainless Steels, straight chrome steels and joining stainless steel to low alloy and carbon steels.
WELDING PROCEDURE
The base metal should be free from oil, Grease or Dirt before welding. Keep a short arc – length and avoid weaving. Weld bead should be cleaned with stainless steel wire brush.
E309LMo-15 Stainless Steel Electrodes
A basic coated all position extra low carbon electrode which deposits a 23% Cr / 13% Ni / 2.5% Mo austenitic stainless steel weld metal. The high alloy content and ferrite level enable the weld metal to tolerate dilution from mild and low alloy steels without hot cracking or brittle structure. It is widely used to apply buffer layers on steel components where final layers are to be deposited using 316L or other stainless steel electrodes. The deposited weld metal is of X-ray quality. The electrode is ideal for both fillet and butt welding applications.

Type 309Mo weld metal is one of the most versatile for welding mixed combination of low and high alloy ferrous materials. It has superior tolerance to dilution than 309 or 309L because of its higher alloy and ferrite content.
E309Mo-16 Stainless Steel Electrode
AWS E309-16 is a lime-titanium type electrode for welding general stainless steels with all positions welding. Widely be used for welding of0Cr 18Ni9(e.g.301.302.304.308) and Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel structures, which working temperature is below 300℃ to 350℃ for 1 hour.

Applications
- Suitable for welding steel containing 22 – 26% Cr, 11 – 14 % Ni, 2 – 3% Mo, also for joints between 18 Cr, – 8 Ni, stainless steel and mild steel, or low alloy steel as well as clad steel.
- Welding electrode e308-16 Used for welding equipment of urea, synthetic fiber, etc.
- Used for Cr stainless steel which does not need heat treatment after welding.
- Used for Cr stainless steel which does not need heat treatment after welding, composite steel, dissimilar steel, etc.
